Lavender Essential Oil Diffuser Blends

We have a spacious mudroom and laundry area that doubles as the main entry into the house - a catch-all for coats, boots, and everything in between. It’s where my husband comes in after working on cars, tending the fire pit, or finishing a day at work, and where I come in from gardening, feeding the chickens, or cleaning out the coop.

With all this coming and going, it can sometimes become a “what is that smell?” area (it’s not horrible but if I don't get all the chicken poop off the bottom of my boots - well, you can imagine). To keep things fresh, I use a large room diffuser that helps freshen things up. Lavender essential oil is one of my favories - it’s fresh, herbal, and has a nice floral scent, making it perfect for the space.

Here are some lavender essential oil blends for your diffuser I think you'll enjoy. These are designed for a large room diffuser, so feel free to adjust the amounts as needed.

Large Room Diffuser Recipes Using Lavender Essential Oil

Creating lavender essential oil blends for your diffuser is a simple way to enhance the ambience of any room. Lavender's calming, floral, and slightly herbal scent makes it a versatile choice for many spaces, whether you're aiming for a relaxing environment or just want to freshen the air in a room.

Because I am using a large diffuser, I don’t stick to the standard 10-drop rule when blending essential oils. I will use up to 15 drops in my blends and go big!

Lavender Blend #1

  • 7 drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 4 drops Lime Essential Oil
  • 3 drops Bergamot Essential Oil

Lavender Blend #2

  • 7 drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 4 drops Geranium Essential Oil

Lavender Blend #3

I love bergamot essential oil, it's a lovely refreshing scent, but it is a bold scent that can overpower other essential oils in a blend. It's unique scent does not last as long as other essential oils though. You can choose to use less in these mixtures.

Lavender Blend #4
